My attention has always been drawn towards how our minds work. And more so to how they don’t work the way we want them to. This has been a thread in my life since I started my own therapy in the late 1980’s. This was a traditional talking therapy.
Travelling around the world with a wide range of jobs gave me a broad appreciation of cultures and people. Careers include horticulture, nursing – primarily in ICUs – and a BSc in computing with work in IT.
It was on discovering NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) that the world and people started to make more sense. When I encountered the Enneagram – a multitude of light bulbs went on!
I live in Earls Colne, to the west of Colchester with my wife, 3 dogs, a parrot and a tortoise. Animals are important to us and I learn a lot from them.
